Setting up Name Servers
When you register a domain name you will be asked where to point the Name Servers, so you'll need to keep these codes handy.

What is a Name Server ?
A Name Server assists people to find your website through a directory lookup that contains your website domain name. There are two things that we need to clarify:
1. Hosting - when you purchase hosting your site will sit on a server, which is just a fancy name for a computer that can handle internet based sites. You will upload your website to the host server, usually through an FTP program. In some cases, the FTP Program is built into the web design tool, for instance Adobe go Live, XSitePro, Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc. However you can also get your own FTP Program if you decide to build your own site using a HTML Editor.
2. Domain Name - Your website will need a name, and you can purchase Domain Names for as little as 99 cents or as much as $100. It's best to look for a reliable Domain Name Registrar, like www.namecheap.com where you will pay around $9 for Dot COM domain.
So when you have got your Domain Name and Hosting sorted out, ensure that your Name Servers are pointing in the right direction by going to your Domain Registrar and updating your Name Servers inside each domain that you have purchased.
